If you are interested in hiring me, please feel free to send me an email.
I am currently a second-year MSCS student in University of Illinois, Urbana-Champaign. I expect to graduate in May 2025.
I got my BSE, CSE from University of Michigan, Ann Arbor and BSE, ECE from UM-SJTU Joint Institute, Shanghai Jiao Tong University. I graduated from both in August 2023.
On the one hand, I am an independent open-source developer, interested in extending AUTOMATIC1111 Stable Diffusion WebUI. I am the primary author of two famous extensions:
- Segment Anything: this extension integrates Segment Anything into SD WebUI, allowing users to automatically crop images and optionally inpaint them.
- AnimateDIFF: this extension makes the first attempt to generate videos in SD WebUI, in almost the same way as generating images.
I am also one of the maintainers of ControlNet.
On the other hand, I am a research assistant, interested in Systems and Compilers for Machine Learning. I have been involved in two large research projects:
- FedScale with Fan Lai: FedScale is a scalable and extensible federated learning engine and benchmark.
- AIDB with Daniel Kang: AIDB can analyze unstructured data blazingly fast with machine learning
Previously, I collaborated with Fan Lai on FedScale, advised by Mosharaf Chowdhury in SymbioticLab. I also worked with Yash Patel on Intrinsically Disordered Protein generation, advised by Ambuj Tewari.
During my spare time, I enjoy anime and guitar fingerstyle. You can get a full list of the anime I watched from bangumi (in Chinese). I also take buses, especially double-deck buses and rural buses. I occasionally feed butterflies, especially Kallima Inachus.
